André Delatte
André Delatte (1887-1953)
He is a glassmaker in northeast France at Nancy.
He was the famous Frères Muller’s banker.
He visited their workshops and got passionate about glassware.
André Delatte opened a workshop in 1919 where he used to decorated the frères Muller’s products.
In 1921 he founds the company “Verreries de l’Est SA” that mainly produces in Art nouveau and Art déco styles.
His companies close in the 1930s because of the economic crisis and the hard competition between all the glassware companies in northeast France (specially with Daum).
