Silversmith : Puiforcat Company

Created in 1820 by Emile Puiforcat, Joseph Marie Puiforcat and Baptiste Fuchs.

Emile Puiforcat entered his mark in 1857. Even though he died in 1883 his mark is used until 1927. The workshops are set at 18 rue Chapon in Paris.

In 1902, Louis Victor Tabouret Puiforcat (Fuchs’s son-in-law) takes over.

In 1918, his son, the well-known Jean Puiforcat (1897-1945) runs the company.
Thanks to him the Puiforcat company gets very famous. He is well-known for his Art déco style works and modern style works.

The prestigious works, re-editions of old silversmith, Jean Puiforcat’s work or modern works made in collaboration have a unique number so we can find the date of fabrication, the craftsman…
