Entered his mark in 1841 and struck it off in 1851 at 23 rue aux Ours, then 63 passage Beaufort and finaly 21 rue Quincampoix, Paris.
His first mark PB and a well is used between the 1st of June 1841 and the 28th of June 1845. This second mark with a woodcock is used from the 5th of June 1847 and stamped again on the 20th of June 1851.
He is one of the greatest silversmith during the Second Empire in France. He produces a lot of works such as cups, timbals, spoons, tureens…
The company is bought by the silversmith Alphonse Debain in 1883.
